PLANTS WITH EYES!!!

Na... just kidding :P. These are the still shots of a video called "Sixes Last" and its made by a firm called First Avenue Machine. It blends the footages of the real plants with hyper-realistic computer animation renderings. Here's the video:

haha... with YouTube coming into existance all the webblogs are starting to become video blogs... but there are just some videos or MVs that people HAS to see... (yes, that includes the "Satisfaction" MV below hahaha) but this video is truly amazing... makes you think what could be real and what could be unreal with the computer graphics technologies nowadays...

I am currently in Rome doing study abroad right now. So far... I have a mixed feeling about this place.. Sure, it's beautiful with all the ancient ruins, baroque and renaissance architecture... but it can be dirty and smelly, and the streets system is so weird and complicated... italians can be nice but they can also be damn lazy and irresponsible... (1. the Italian air line lost my luggage, forced me to wear the same shirt for a week. 2. The bike I rented was stolen on the one night I rented it... the thief cut the metal chain lock, but the police didnt seem to care when I reported it. 3. The apartment adminitration changed our door lock while I was having a field trip in Napoles without informing any of us... and we'r forced to stay at our friend's house for a night.) But yea... I guess the nice pasta and gelato makes up for all these...? haha dunno. hmm, I guess pretty soon I'll upload the pics I took here and during the summer up. That's about it for now. Ciao guys!!

This is one of my favorate MV haha, I figured everyone should watch it:

Currently in Vienna now.. going back to Taipei on July 19th... wonder who'll be there... please inform me!!

Vienna is a very beautiful city... tho the art exhibition I saw at MuMoK today was probably the most disturbing art show I've ever seen in my life.... I felt like puking and didnt have any apetite after seeing the show... the exhibition is called Viennese Actionism: The Hummel Collection, and they include the works of artists like Hermann Nitsch and Gunter Brus. These kinda things make me wonder wut exactly constitutes art? it seems like anything... however crazy/simple/sickening can be considered art today... are the artists who created these pieces brilliant or crazy? what's the message in these art pieces? would killing or torturing real humans be also considered "art" in the future if this trend continues in an increasingly open and radical world?

Current - June 7th: Paris

June 8th - June 25th: Berlin

June 26th - July 14th: Vienna

July 15th - July 17th: back to NYC and Ithaca

July 18th - August 15th: Taipei!!

August 15th - December 15th: Rome

Dec. 15th - Jan. 17th: Taipei again!!

Jan 17th onwards: back to shitty Ithaca again....

Thats pretty much the schedule for my near future!! past few weeks have been pretty god damn hectic since the last final project was due on May 19th and I have a plane to catch on May 20th... which means an all nighter for the project and another all nighter for packing and submitting shit... sigh, the funniest thing is I realized at the Paris airport that I lost the paper that has my hotel name written on it... so I almost have to sleep on the street if I didnt call back and find out which hotel im staying at. yea... so tired now haha. However, even though I've only been here for 2 hours, I can already see how beautiful a city Paris is. Hopefully this summer study trip will be fun and I'll see you guys back in Taiwan in July!! (who would be in taipei when I'm there ah?? please inform me!!)

Oh, btw, my advanced animation class final video is finished.. but for some reason YouTube doesn't seem too willing to play the video (its only half a gigabyte of file at HD resolution!!)... so until I figured out another way to upload the video on xanga, you guys can look at the "preview pics" first haha. cya.
